Municipal Maintenance Company specializes in the repair of centrifugal blowers. Whether it be a simple bearing change-out or a difficult failure analysis, MMC is equipped to handle it.
In 2006, Municipal Maintenance Company became the region's only Gardner Denver (Lamson and Hoffman) authorized service center. MMC has been repairing centrifugal blowers for over 30 years. As with all repair services, we offer turnkey service, including: removal, repair, installation, laser alignment, and start-up testing.
The typical process of a blower repair begins with a high pressure steam cleaning. It is followed by disassembly and detailed inspection on a specialized Panafab, Inc vertical blower lift. In addition to finding the cause of a failure, all factory specifications will be confirmed including: housings, journals, and wear clearances. All parts are then sandblasted, cleaned, and primed.
Our machine shop and fabrication shop will then complete any necessary repairs before the blower enters the assembly stage. At this time, all impellers are dynamically balanced on our state of the art Schenck Trebel balancing machine. Assembly is then performed by the same mechanic that disassembled the blower. It is then painted and tagged with a stainless steel ID tag used to reference the repair in the future. As a service to customers, MMC keeps all records of the repairs in their service history system.
